Water Baptism

Church on the North Coast believes that water baptism is an integral pat of the development of a Disciple of Christ. Your decision today to submit to Jesus' commandment is proof of your heart's choice to serve God. As you are baptized you have identified with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Therefore, you have "newness of life" (Romans 6) You are now encouraged to participate, serve and support your local church as you grow in Christ.

Water baptism is the rite of entrance into the Christian church and symbolizes the beginning of your spiritual life. The word "baptize" used means literally "to dip or to immerse." All who sincerely repent of their sins and exercise a living faith in the Lord Jesus are eligible for baptism. In this apostolic church of, the rite was accompanied by the following outward expressions:
1. Profession of faith - Act 8:37
2. Prayer - Acts 22: 16
3. Vow of Consecration - 1 Peter 3:21
